Dan Fox is the Program Manager of the Marshall Space Flight Center Communication Contract under the Office of Strategic Analysis and Communication.

Dan was raised in a military family and has lived in California, Florida, Nebraska, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Tennessee, Virginia, and Alabama.  He has had the opportunity to visit all of the states in the US with the exception of North Dakota, Alaska, and Hawaii. 

His formal education includes a BA from Tennessee Temple University, an MBA from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University, and a Masters of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary. 

 

The Learning objectives of this presentation are:

        2.      Understanding Change Management

 

        3.      Introducing Model-Netics as a Management Language 

 

Mr. Fox is a certified Model-Netics Instructor and has taught and utilized this unique management approach during his consulting career.  Model-Netics is a management language and culture management tool comprised of 151 models that serve as guides to thought and action.  This unique management language is drawn from the principles of philosophy, psychology, management, economics, operations, human resources, communications, and leadership and serves as a playbook of best practices and problem solving tools.

 

Prior to assuming his current PM position in 2013 Dan worked for 27 years as a business strategist, management/leadership coach, and organizational consultant serving both government and private sector customers.  He has consulted with private industry including Fortune 100 insurance conglomerates, National big-box retail stores, and, what is now the world’s largest manufacturer of tissue paper.  He has also consulted with mom-and-pop specialty stores and helped in the startup of a private Christian school in Huntsville.  His Government clients include the Department of Transportation, the Veterans’ Administration, special reports for Congress, the FAA, the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, and US Marines, the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, the Corps of Engineers, NASA, and many other Government groups.


Mr. Fox was recently awarded the PMI-NAC Project Manager of the Year award as well as his project, the OSAC COMMSS Contract being awarded the Project of the year award. 

 

He has been married for nearly 29 years and has two children.  His hobbies include shooting pistols, rifles, and shotguns and raising backyard chickens
